THE UNBOXING

CloudFone02

The package of the CloudFone Thrill includes a USB cable, USB charging head, a pair of in-ear earphones and a USB On-The-Go cable. I applaud CloudFone for including the last 2 accessories in the package. I always prefer in-ear earphones and the USB OTG cable will let me connect my USB flash drive and possibly other USB peripherals such as an external hard disk drive.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Size comparison with the Nokia Lumia 925

I made a few comments already about the Thrill 530qx in my previous post so nothing much to say this time. It’s been 2 months since I last held a large device and it’s currently the largest smartphone I have in my pool of review units. The size and weight of the Thrill 530qx will be quite a challenge here and I will definitely observe if it would affect my usage, especially the weight factor.

CloudFone04

It’s been 6 hours and 21 minutes since I pulled it out of the power outlet. Since then I’ve done some light social media reading and posts, a couple of SMS, installed a couple of apps and several minutes of reading emails. I’m left with 94% so far after doing these tasks.

I’ll be posting my review of the CloudFone Thrill 530qx in a couple of weeks. For the meantime, follow me on Twitter @dronthego where I will be posting my thoughts on the Thrill 530qx during my review process.
