Huawei Band 6 – Making My Life More Convenient

I’ve been using the Huawei Band since its first version back in 2016, and have witnessed it to become a better smart wearable throughout the years. The most previous version I used was the Huawei Band 4, and I loved it so much that I gave Band 4s to friends so they can experience using a smart device. More than a year since the Band 4 was introduced into the market, they have finally announced the new Huawei Band 6.

I’ve been using the new smart wearable for the past couple of weeks and with its features, I think it can be a more affordable alternative to a smartwatch. Let me share the reasons why the Huawei Band 6 is a smart wearable that you can use everyday whether to manage your life or your health.

LARGE AMOLED DISPLAY

The first Huawei Band I used back in March was one of the first smart bands to have a display. Unlike this generation’s smart bands, the Band B0 only shows the time, date and battery meter in a small 1.06 inch OLED screen. Honestly, I found it boring and while there are other watch faces to choose from, the lack of a color display makes it a lot less appealing. Thank goodness we are in the year 2021 with the Huawei Band 6.

The Huawei Band 6 comes with a large 1.47-inch AMOLED touch display. It is so large that it is actually 148% bigger than my previous Huawei Band 4 with minimal bezels. Aside from that, it has a high resolution of 194 x 368 which makes it look visually appealing. It’s not as big as a smartwatch but I think its size is large enough for me to see the time as well as read other alert notifications. Its touchscreen also makes it easy for me to navigate by simply swiping on the Band 6. Unlike the Band B0 I’ve had in 2016, the Band 6 comes with a lot of stylish, colorful watch faces to choose from that will suit my daily mood.

ACTS LIKE A SMARTWATCH

The Huawei Band 6 doesn’t just show you the date and time. It can also become your personal digital assistant. While your smartphone already does that job, the Huawei Band 6 can become a helpful accessory to remind you of notifications when you are too busy to look at your phone. Phone calls, text messages, emails, calendar appointments, social media and all other app alerts can be configured with this awesome smart device. You can even control the music being played on the phone or use it as a remote control to take a selfie picture. Whether your phone is inside your pocket or bag, you will never miss any notifications with the Huawei Band 6.

MANAGES YOUR HEALTH

Huawei Band 6

The Huawei Band 6 comes with a plethora of health management features packed in a small wearable. It comes with 24/7 Heart Rate Monitoring, All-Day SpO2 Monitoring, TruRelax Stress Monitoring, Breathing Exercises and my favorite feature – TrueSleep 2.0 Sleep Tracking which I have been using since the Band B0.

I am a dialysis patient who always need to check my Heart rate and SpO2 due to my existing heart condition, and I can attest that the Band 6 has been giving me accurate results most of the time. Also, since the pandemic will not be over soon, having an all-day automatic SpO2 monitoring can help me assure that I am not infected by the virus. It’s as effective as the Pulse Oximeter since I had it tested side-by-side at the hospital.

The Huawei Band supports 96 different exercise modes. Unbelievable because this sort of feature is usually supported in more expensive smartwatches. While I am not allowed to do so strenuous exercises or physical activities, I can still monitor my walking exercise using the Huawei Band 6. Details of my exercises are stored on my phone thanks to the Huawei Health app.

HUAWEI HEALTH APP

All my health data are synced to my phone thanks to the Huawei Health App. While these data can be viewed on the Huawei Band 6, the Health App provides a lot more information like how many steps I took, average speed, and even shows me the map of my route. I am sure I can show these data to my cardiologist in our next check-up.

The Huawei Band 6 and Huawei Health App are not exclusive to Huawei devices. They can be paired and installed, not only on other Android phones, but on iOS devices as well.

LONG BATTERY LIFE

Huawei Band 6

The Huawei Band 6 is equipped with a long battery life that can last up to almost 2 weeks. Charging is quick too! All you need is plug the cable to the Band 6 and it will fully charge the device in under an hour! It’s that fast!

The Huawei Band 6 is the best alternative to a more expensive smartwatch. It does most of the functions of a smartwatch for a price that you can definitely afford. Choose among three fashionable colors: Black, Sakura Pink and Forrest Green to suit your everyday wear whether at home, office or outdoors for exercising.
