The Huawei Mate7 is Coming this November

Has swiping lock codes on your phone lost its novelty? Then you may want to check out the Huawei Mate7, a 6-inch smartphone with a single-touch fingerprint access that does away with traditional password encoding.

The Mate7 utilizes a 9.16mm x 9.16mm fingerprint sensor located at the back of the device where your index finger usually rests. It recognizes up to five sets of fingerprint records and supports guest modes for better file and application protection. With its 508PPI ratio for enhanced reader accuracy, the Mate7 can immediately recognize entries even with wet fingers.

Of course the Mate7 is more than its security features. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with a HiSilicon Kirin 925 octa-core processor (quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A15 and quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7) and a Mali-T682 GPU. International versions come in either 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory or 3GB RAM with 32GB internal memory. Both are expandable via microSD.

Huawei gave the Mate7 very minimal bezels and a generous 6-inch, 1080 x 1920 resolution display that’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its rear camera snaps at 13MP with autofocus and LED flash, while its front camera goes for 5MP.

The Mate7 is set to launch in the Philippines in the latter half of November, so stay tuned for more details.
