Lenovo Introduces New A-Series Android Phones



The world’s number 1 PC maker has just announced their new set of smartphones in the entry level segment of the Philippine market. Lenovo announced 4 new models in their A series, targeting college students and young professionals looking for smartphones with premium features at a budget-friendly price.


The Lenovo A269i is the most affordable among the newly released smartphones in the A series. The A269i has a 3.5-inch HVGA display, powered by an MTK 1 GHz Dual-Core processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. It has an internal storage of 512MB with 256MB of RAM, while the camera resolution is set at 2.0 Megapixels. The SRP of the A269i is Php 2,799.00.


Next in the A series line up is the Lenovo A369i. It is also powered by an MTK 1.3 GHz Dual-Core processor with a 4-inch screen display. It’s running on Android 4.2 Jellybean OS and has an internal storage of 4GB with 512MB RAM. Available in Black and White colors, it is already available in the market with an SRP of Php 4,499.00.


The Lenovo A516 also has the same specs of the A369i, but with a larger screen and higher resolution camera. The screen display’s size is 4.5 inches with IPS  and the camera is 5 Megapixels. Users can expect longer battery life with its 2,000 mAh capacity. The SRP of the A516 is Php 5,999.00 and already available in retail outlets.


Last, but not the least is the Lenovo A850. This smartphone has the largest display in the A series at 5.5 inches with IPS and powered by an MTK 1.3 GHz Quad-Core CPU. The internal storage is 4GB with 1GB RAM, and has 2 cameras: 8 Megapixels at the back and VGA at the front.  Like the A369i and A516, the operating system of the A850 is also on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean. SRP is Php 9,999.00 and will be available in black and white colors.

The Lenovo A369i and A516 are already out in the market while the A269i and A850 will be available by the end of October. The new Lenovo smartphones are available through the authorized resellers of Open Communications, Lenovo’s exclusive smartphone distributor in the Philippines.
