Microsoft Devices Replaces Nokia Branding, Officially Launched Lumia 630

Goodbye Nokia. Hello Microsoft Devices. Yup, that’s the new name of Nokia as they formally introduced themselves during their latest product launch yesterday.

It was announced last month that the acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft has been completed and Microsoft Devices will become the new brand name. So far, no personnel changes in the executive lineup of Nokia Philippines. Karel Holub will still be in charge.

The Lumia 630 is the first Windows Phone to sport a Quad-Core processor, Dual SIM Support and the latest Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. These are the same specs that can be seen in most Android smartphones in this segment, and Microsoft is hoping that this would entice users to switch to the platform.

It will be available in Philippine shores on May 30 with an SRP of Php 7,990.00 with colors available in bright orange, bright yellow, bright green, white and black.
