New AMD-Powered Lenovo Legion Lineup Announced at CES 2021

Lenovo Legion is going all out to deliver what gamers want this CES 2021 with the latest in AMD and NVIDIA processors, high-resolution 16” displays, AI-driven frame rates and exciting upgrades in the things that matter most. These are the Lenovo Legion 7 16” AMD, Legion Slim 7 15” AMD, Legion 5 Pro 16” AMD, and Legion 5 15” and 17” AMD. Lenovo Legion’s new 2021 laptops are amongst the first to feature the next-gen AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series Mobile Processors as well as the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 Series Laptop GPUs well suited for gamers and creators.

Here are the new Lenovo Legion products unveiled at CES 2021:

Meet the new flagship Lenovo Legion 7 laptop clad in aerospace-grade aluminum. It sports the latest mobile processors for PC gamers – up to the latest AMD Ryzen 9 5900H Mobile Processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPUs. It comes with the new 16” 165Hz IPS display with 16:10 aspect ratio, 2560 x 1600 resolution, NVIDIA G-SYNC, 100 percent sRGB color accuracy, 90% screen-to-body ratio, 11% more screen estate (vs conventional 15.6” screens), and Dolby Vision.

The Lenovo Legion AI Engine optimizes system performance via machine learning to deliver the highest possible framerates whether your game is CPU or GPU-intensive. For 16 of the most popular triple-A gaming titles, the Lenovo AI Engine will run them at finely-tuned settings for maximum frame rates.

The Coldfront 3.0 thermal management system packs an intelligent intake system that features turbo-charged dual-fans and quad-channel exhausts with vapor chamber technology. This will move huge volumes of air through components to dissipate heat rapidly. This massive cooling process is further enhanced with the use of highly efficient thermal conduction materials.  

Multiple thermal sensors also predict your system’s thermal curve to help avoid throttling. You can also instantly control the fan speed and voltage by pressing Function + Q keys for maximum, Intelligent (AI) or silent power modes.

The Legion TrueStrike Keyboard features innovative soft-landing switches that deliver deeper strokes with equal force on every strike. This enables you to strike enemies with extreme precision, hair-trigger speeds and satisfying keystrokes. The full-sized keyboard with number pad is also illuminated in over 16 million colors via Corsair iCUE support with a glass trackpad that is 23% larger than previous generations. You can easily launch the Lenovo Vantage software with the dedicated Super Key to custom-calibrate your system.

Every Lenovo Legion gaming laptop comes with a free one month of Microsoft Xbox Game Pass for PC, unlocking hundreds of great games for non-stop gaming. The Lenovo Legion 7 will be available from Q1 2021.

The Legion Slim 7 is the successor to the world’s lightest 15” gaming laptop with NVIDIA RTX graphics released in 2020, and now comes with AMD’s latest processors. At under 1.9kg, this ultra-svelte beauty is a perfect fit for any boardroom or tournament setting with unbridled performance under its magnesium cum aluminum chassis in the Shadow Black hue.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 will be available in Q1 2021.

The Legion 5 Pro offers the same 16” 16:10 QHD display as the Legion 7 and is powered by up to the latest AMD Ryzen 9 5800H Mobile Processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPUsIt has a 16” 165Hz IPS display with up to 3ms response time, 16:10 aspect ratio, 2560 x 1600 resolution, NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync support, 100 percent sRGB color accuracy, 90% screen-to-body ratio and Dolby Vision. Its other features include Lenovo AI Engine, Coldfront 3.0 thermal management, Legion TrueStrike Keyboard, and Type-C Power Delivery.

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro will be available starting Q1 2021.

We currently have the Lenovo Legion 5 and we actually love it! Now that refresh version will have the latest AMD Ryzen 5th Gen processors and NVIDIA RTX 30 series GPUs, it entice more possible customers to join the Legion squad. The Legion 5 refresh comes with 15.6” 165Hz IPS display with 1080p resolution,16:9 aspect ratio, up to 100 percent sRGB color accuracy and AMD FreeSync support, or 17” 144Hz IPS display with 1080p resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, up to 100 percent sRGB color accuracy.

Like other Legion laptops announced, the Legion 5 comes with Lenovo AI Engine, Coldfront 3.0 thermal management, Legion TrueStrike Keyboard, and Type-C Power Delivery.

The Lenovo Legion 5 with AMD 5th Gen processors will be available starting Q1 2021.

Lenovo Legion also announced its new gaming accessories at CES 2021. The new Lenovo Legion S600 Gaming Station will help you stop forgetting to charge your headset, mouse or smartphone between intense gaming matches. It has an always-on charging capability that solves multiple power problems at once. It features hang-to-charge technology for the new Lenovo Legion H600 Wireless Gaming Headset and a Qi-enabled base that charges compatible smartphones (up to 10W output) and other supported devices such as wireless gaming mice. The station’s modern-looking stand is lightweight at just 919 grams and features two USB-A pass-through ports on the bottom for high-speed connectivity and device charging.

The Lenovo Legion H600 Wireless Gaming Headset provides tournament-grade audio and sports a premium 2.4GHz lossless wireless receiver with an impressive receiving distance of up to 12m and latency of under 35ms. Carefully tuned for optimal clamping force and angle, the headband stretches and retracts to fit your head nicely and remain flat around your neck during breaks. The angle-adjustable earcups are made from memory foam and covered in a breathable cloth for ultimate gaming comfort.
