Smart Strengthens Safety Protocols in Physical Stores

Need an in-store transaction? Smart has reinforced health and safety precautions in their physical stores so you won’t have to worry. Following the extended General Community Quarantine until June 30, Smart strengthens store safety protocols to further protect both customers and employees. As such, Smart requires all visitors and employees to wear face masks and have their temperatures checked before entering the physical stores.

Apart from that, customers that can stay within the store have a set limited number to prevent over-crowding. A great measure to truly implement social distancing. Moreover, Smart has also made great efforts on providing sanitation areas, distance markers, peer less drop boxes, virtual and express counters.

All these serve to lessen physical interaction. Smart has also taken into consideration most used areas as well as time. Thus, these areas undergo regular disinfection after each transaction to prevent anything from sticking and spreading. Demo units were also replaced with QR codes that contain information on the device.

Smart takes great caution towards the infectious disease. Smart ‘s safety protocols in their stores are in accordance to the guidelines set by the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), Health, Labor, and Trade departments, and the World Health Organization.

Albeit not mandatory, Smart strongly encourages customers to turn to cashless transactions and self-care kiosk instead. This extends to strong support for online payment services such as PayMaya, or buy through the Smart Online Store and GrabMart.
