You may have seen teasers from my fellow tech bloggers of Cherry Mobile’s newest pricelist, and it is definitely real. The picture you see above is the Omega Infinity!
This is the latest Octa-Core powered superphone from Cherry Mobile with a bigger size and premium feel. Just like the Cosmos Z2, the Omega Infinity is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MTK processor but with a larger 5.5-inch screen with Full HD IPS display which is ideal for watching videos and playing games. Internal storage is bumped to 32 GB with 2GB of RAM. Sadly, expandable memory is not an option for this phone model.
The aluminum finishing at the back is almost similar to the iPhone 5s except that the back cover is curved and the lower portion is covered with acrylic bearing the logo of Cherry Mobile. The phone is easy to grip and comfortable too and not quite slippery as I thought it would be.
Those who complain about the battery size of the Cosmos Z2 (like me!) would be happy to know that the Omega Infinity will have a built-in 2,900 mAh battery. Hallelujah!
