Huawei’s Nova series has garnered success in the mid-range smartphone segment especially when the Nova 3 and 3i were released to the Philippine market last year. Albeit some delay, the Huawei Nova 5T was finally announced, and it has all the bells and whistles of a great smartphone for an unbeatable price.
The Nova 5T has a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display with a punch-hole notch that houses the front camera. Watching videos on this phone would be more enjoyable with its almost bezel-less display.
There are a few things that Huawei did to make the Nova 5T a killer phone. They applied their powerful Kirin 980 processor, the same processor that powers the flagship Huawei Mate 20 series as well as the Huawei P30 series. That’s very unexpected because normally, phone brands would go for a chipset suited for mid-range phone. Also, GPU Turbo 3.0 can boost games while reducing power consumption by 10%. I foresee that the Nova can be a mobile gamer’s choice in the near future.
The 5T is equipped with a Quad-Camera system composed of 48 Megapixels, 16 Megapixels with wide-angle, and a couple of 2 Megapixel lenses. The 5th camera is a 32 Megapixel Selfie camera.
It comes in three inventive color schemes: Crush Blue, Dark Black, and Midsummer Purple. An enhanced reflective design makes the phone look trippy, especially the purple variant.
