Huawei MatePad T 8 – The Sleek-Looking Affordable Tablet

The last product announced in the series of new entry-level devices from Huawei is a tablet. It’s not a MediaPad though, but a MatePad T 8. This is the second MatePad tablet to be launched this year after the Huawei MatePad Pro.

The MatePad T 8 features a sleek form factor with curved edges that makes the tablet a looker. It’s lightweight so it can be easily held with one hand. Thanks to its slim design, the MatePad T 8 can be easily slipped inside your sling bag or purse. Its 8-inch IPS LCD Display with ultra-slim 4.9mm bezels and 80% screen-to-body ratio is excellent for immersive entertainment. Its HD+ resolution is good enough for watching your favorite shows from streaming apps or reading ebooks. Processor is not a Kirin but a 2.0 GHz MediaTek MT8768. We have no information about this chipset so we assume it to be new. Huawei says it’s powerful so we are hopeful that it’s true.

Internal Storage is set to 16GB expandable with a MicroSD card up to 512GB with a memory of 2GB. Cameras are 5 Megapixels and 2 Megapixels for selfies, and battery capacity is 5,100 mAh. The MatePad T 8 already has the latest EMUI 10.1 installed and apps are provided by the Huawei AppGallery.

The Huawei MatePad T 8 is priced at P5,990 and is available in Deepsea Blue. More information about the Huawei MatePad T 8 can be found HERE.
