vivo is back with a fresh mid-range contender — say hello to the vivo V50 Lite 5G. Designed to strike a balance between sleek aesthetics and everyday performance, this device is aimed at users who want modern features without breaking the bank. With 5G connectivity, a stylish build, and promising hardware under the hood, the V50 Lite 5G seems ready to take on the crowded mid-range battlefield.
I recently got my hands on the device and put it through actual testing to see how it holds up in daily use. Is it just another pretty face, or does it have the performance to back it up? Let’s dive into the details and find out if the vivo V50 Lite 5G deserves a spot on your shortlist.

What’s in the Box?
We’re first welcomed by vivo’s signature black box, proudly displaying the model name on top and the brand name along the sides. Lifting the lid reveals the vivo V50 Lite 5G unit itself, accompanied by a user manual, a SIM ejector pin, a 90W fast charger, a USB Type-A to Type-C cable, and a transparent silicone case — everything you need to get started right out of the box.
Its Appearance

Let’s be honest, vivo really knows how to design a good-looking phone. The vivo V50 Lite 5G is no exception. It’s a well-sized device with generous screen space, thanks to its slim bezels. The bottom bezel is slightly thicker than the rest, but it’s not something that stands out or feels distracting.
The device features a metallic matte finish on the back, paired with a high-gloss flat frame. That said, even though the brand describes both the frame and the back as “metallic,” the phone still feels plasticky in hand and the glossy material tends to attract fingerprints and smudges quite easily.
Still, I have to give credit to its overall minimalist design and commend the vivo V50 Lite’s solid and durable build.
It also comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, so unexpected splashes or light rain shouldn’t be an issue. Plus, it’s built to handle minor drops as well, thanks to its SGS Five-Star drop resistance certification.

There’s nothing that can be seen on the left side of the phone. On the right, you’ll find both the power button and volume rocker. Up top, there’s a microphone and a speaker grille, while the bottom houses the USB-C port, dual SIM slot, and a second loudspeaker.
The phone is available in three colors: Titanium Gold, Fantasy Purple, and Phantom Black.
Its Display and Speaker
The device sports a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, delivering fluid scrolling and an overall responsive experience. It also boasts a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, making it easy to view even under bright sunlight. As expected from an AMOLED panel, the screen offers sharp details, rich and vivid colors, and deep, inky blacks—perfect for media consumption, gaming, or everyday use.
The bezels are slightly thicker than I’d prefer, especially at the chin, but they’re not too distracting during use. That aside, the overall visual experience is quite enjoyable.
The device comes equipped with dual stereo speakers that provide a satisfying audio experience. The soundstage is fairly wide, with crisp highs and clear mids that make vocals and dialogue stand out. While the bass lacks a bit of depth and impact, it’s still good enough for everyday use. Overall, the audio quality is more than adequate for casual listening, watching videos, or playing games.
The phone features an under-display fingerprint sensor alongside face unlock. The fingerprint scanner is generally quick and responsive, unlocking the device most of the time without issue.
Its Performance

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, the vivo V50 Lite 5G offers solid performance, with options for 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Everyday tasks are handled effortlessly, with apps launching quickly and smooth scrolling through social media. However, you may encounter occasional lag or stutter, especially when rapidly switching between apps.
In terms of gaming, the phone performs decently. Honor of Kings runs smoothly, but Genshin Impact shows some lag now and then. For casual gamers, it’s sufficient, but those who demand more from their games may want to look elsewhere for better performance.
Storage-wise, the V50 Lite comes with 256GB or 512GB of internal space, which should be more than enough for apps, photos, and videos. However, the absence of a microSD card slot means expandable storage is off the table, so users will need to rely on cloud services.
Connectivity-wise, the V50 Lite 5G offers faster mobile internet speeds and features like dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, and GPS, all of which perform reliably without any issues.
Unlocking the phone is convenient with the under-display fingerprint scanner located near the bottom of the screen. While it works well, you might need to stretch your finger a bit to reach it. For a quicker alternative, face unlock offers a more seamless way to access your phone.
Here are the benchmark results of the vivo V50 Lite 5G

The Camera

The vivo V50 Lite 5G comes with a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP F1.79 Sony Ultra-High-Sensitivity Camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor that supports 2x Professional Portraits, alongside an 8MP Ultra Wide-Angle lens. On the front, it features a 32MP F2.45 selfie camera.

We had the chance to bring the vivo v50 lite 5G at COMPUTEX 2025 and got the chance to capture photos. Photos taken in well-lit environments generally turn out well, with decent detail and dynamic range. However, color reproduction can be a bit inconsistent at times. The phone’s image processing tends to boost saturation, which can make colors pop—though occasionally at the expense of accuracy. Using the 2x zoom or zooming in manually often results in less contrast, causing the colors to appear slightly washed out.

Surprisingly, portrait shots taken in low-light settings come out quite well—provided there are party lights or at least some studio lighting present. The skin texture looks smooth and natural, and the Aura Light feature really helps highlight facial features, making the subject stand out.
When it comes to video, the phone records at 1080p and 60fps. However, the video quality is rather average, with limited dynamic range, less sharp detail, and no stabilization.

The Battery

The standout feature of the vivo V50 Lite 5G is definitely its battery life. Despite its slim design, it houses a massive 6,500 mAh BlueVolt Battery. According to vivo, this delivers “longer-lasting performance in a sleek and compact form.”
In my experience, the phone easily lasted a couple of days with moderate use. For heavy users who binge-watch YouTube or scroll through TikTok, vivo claims up to 27 hours of YouTube playback and over 15 hours of TikTok usage.
Charging such a large battery might seem intimidating, but thanks to the 90W FlashCharge technology, it’s surprisingly quick. The phone goes from 0% to 100% in less than an hour. Keep in mind, though, using the phone while charging can slow down the process and cause the device to warm up slightly.
Final Thoughts about the vivo V50 Lite 5G
The vivo V50 Lite 5G offers a well-rounded package for those seeking a mid-range device with modern features and solid performance. Its sleek design, vibrant AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and impressive 6,500mAh battery make it a standout for media consumption and everyday use. While gaming performance may not satisfy hardcore players and the camera quality has room for improvement, the device excels in battery life and connectivity. For those seeking a balance of style, performance, and value, the vivo V50 Lite 5G is a strong contender in its price range, though users should be mindful of its limitations, like the lack of expandable storage.
The vivo V50 Lite 5G is priced at Php 16,999.00 for its 8GB+256GB variant and Php 19,999 for its 12G B+ 512 GB variant. You can buy the newest vivo V50 Lite 5G on the official store as it will be available on Lazada and Shopee.
