The Gift Set
You’ll receive a large box featuring the realme 14 series 5G branding on the cover. Inside, you’ll find the TechLife Headphones G1, a realmeow phone stand, a realmeow keychain, and the device you pre-ordered. In our case, we got the realme 14 5G.
TechLife Headphones G1
The TechLife Headphones G1 supports both wired and wireless connectivity and offers up to 30 hours of battery life. In terms of build quality, it features plastic ear cup shells and a cloth-covered headband. However, the headband has little to no padding, so it rests directly on your head, which might affect comfort over time. The height adjustment is easy to use and has a decent range — it fits my large head comfortably without any issues.
The ear cup cushions are thick and made of cloth, which makes them comfortable for long gaming sessions. Plus, they’re easy to clean when needed. The headphones can be folded, making them convenient to pack in your bag. However, they don’t have a tilt feature, so they might feel a bit awkward when resting around your neck.
The microphone can be tucked into the ear cup, so it doesn’t stick out much, and it’s flexible for easy adjustment when positioning it near your mouth. All the buttons and ports are located on the left ear cup, including the power button, volume rocker, mic mute/unmute switch, and the USB Type-C port. The included USB Type-C to 3.5mm audio jack cable is a bit short for desktop PC setups, especially if you need to connect it to a rear audio jack. However, it’s perfectly fine for use with a phone.
realme 14 5G
The realme 14 5G takes a bold new direction in design. After using the same look for two generations, realme finally switched things up with a design that stands out. We got the Mecha Silver variant, which features a striking mecha-inspired pattern on the back panel that easily catches attention, especially among gamers.
The downside, however, is that the back panel is a fingerprint magnet, so you’ll need to wipe it occasionally to keep it clean. Other available variants include Storm Titanium and the special Warrior Pink.
This time, the camera setup is placed in a square module that slightly protrudes. It includes two camera lenses, an LED flash, and a ring light called the Victory Halo Light, which lights up when gaming or charging for an added visual touch.
The button and port layout remains familiar. The power button with an orange accent and the volume rocker are located on the right side. At the bottom, you’ll find the speaker grill, USB Type-C port, microphone, and a SIM card tray that supports dual nano SIM cards. However, there is no microSD card slot for storage expansion. On the top, there is a second speaker for stereo sound and another microphone.
For a quick spec overview, the realme 14 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
