Last Sunday, August 7, 2022 Rumble Royale hosted a watch party for Valorant Last Chance Qualifier – APAC Grand Finals at the SM North EDSA Cinema 11. After two years of watching esports events online, gamers enjoyed watching the heated grand-finals battle between Boom Esports and ONIC Esports.
Boom Esports Versus Onic Esports
The battle between Boom Esports and Onic Esports was entertaining to watch. Both teams showed why they deserved to fight for the last spot to represent the APAC region in the upcoming Valorant Championship 2022 which will happen in Istanbul, Turkey. Boom Esports eventually clinched the last spot with a scorecard of 3-1. They are the first Indonesian team who will be participating in the Valorant Champions, joining Paper Rex and Xerxia representing the APAC region. The Valorant Champions 2022 will be held on September 2, 2022.
Happenings in the Watch Party
Aside from watching the grand finals. Rumble Royale organize a program for the audience while waiting for the match to start. Prizes given away were Valorant Points and a brand new smartphone as the grand prize. The event was hosted by Juiceybrucey and Suzzysaur, and other known influencers like Razzie Binx and Peenoise Realm were also spotted at the event. Some of the audience appeared at the event cosplaying their favorite agents in the game.
Aside from the Philippines. other countries in APAC region also hosted their own watch party. Singapore and Indonesia’s watch parties were shown in the English broadcast of Valorant LCQ.
