The Design

HONOR X6c Midnight Black

The HONOR X6c unit we have comes in Midnight Black with a subtle light copper accent around the camera bump, adding a touch of elegance to its minimalist back panel. If you prefer something different, it also comes in Moonlight White and Ocean Cyan.

Beyond looks, HONOR designed the X6c with durability in mind. It carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance and has passed SGS-certified drop tests up to 1.5 meters, giving you extra peace of mind for daily use.

For the controls, the volume rocker and power button with integrated fingerprint sensor are placed on the right side, while the left side houses the dedicated AI Mobile Assistant button, which lets you launch commands or favorite apps with a single press.

At the bottom, you’ll find the speaker grille, USB-C port, microphone, and 3.5mm headphone jack. On top, there’s another microphone along with the SIM tray, which supports two nano SIMs or one SIM plus a microSD card for storage expansion.

The Display and Speaker

HONOR X6c

The HONOR X6c features a 6.61-inch TFT LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1604 x 720 pixels. While it doesn’t quite match the sharpness and richness of IPS or OLED panels, it still delivers decent quality for everyday use. Considering its price point, the screen is passable and vibrant enough for browsing, streaming, and casual gaming.

To make viewing more comfortable, HONOR also included several eye-care features such as natural-light eye comfort, DC flicker-free dimming, a blue light filter, and an eBook mode.

For audio, the phone comes with a single bottom-firing speaker that provides acceptable sound quality for its class. It won’t blow you away, but it gets the job done for casual listening.

The Performance

HONOR X6c

The HONOR X6c is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra, an enhanced version of the popular G80 series with higher core speeds. Our review unit comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, though a 128GB variant is also available.

Here are the benchmark results we recorded on the HONOR X6c:

When booting up, the phone runs on MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15. While there are a few pre-installed apps or bloatware, these can be easily uninstalled if you prefer a cleaner setup.

In everyday use, the phone handles basic tasks like messaging, browsing, and social media fairly well, though you may occasionally notice some stuttering. This is reflected in its benchmark scores, which are on the lower side. Still, performance is acceptable for casual users such as kids or grandparents who don’t demand too much power.

For gaming, the HONOR X6c manages light and arcade titles smoothly. Esports games like Honor of Kings can run at up to 60fps on standard graphics, though you may encounter slight lag during intense moments. For more demanding titles such as Genshin Impact, the phone remains playable but expect occasional frame drops and stutters.

The Camera

HONOR X6c

he HONOR X6c is equipped with a 50MP main rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

HONOR X6c – Main Camera

In our experience, the main camera performs reasonably well in daylight, producing shots with good detail and vibrant colors. However, its performance drops noticeably in low-light conditions. Photos tend to look noisy, and the HDR struggles to balance highlights and shadows. To get acceptable results, you’ll need to shoot in well-lit environments.

HONOR X6c – Selfie Camera

The selfie camera delivers decent colors, though some softness can be seen in the details. Using the beauty mode makes this even more noticeable, as it softens facial features to the point where it’s obvious that the filter is applied.

When it comes to video, both the rear and front cameras can only record at 1080p at 30fps, with no image stabilization available. This means handheld videos can look shaky, especially when moving around.

The Battery

The HONOR X6c packs a 5,300mAh battery, which can easily last a full day of regular use with some power left for the next day. For charging, it comes with a 35W fast charger included in the box, capable of filling the battery from 0% to 100% in about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

HONOR X6c Verdict

HONOR X6c

I have mixed feelings about the HONOR X6c. In day-to-day use, the performance can be inconsistent, with occasional sluggishness and stuttering, especially when multitasking or running heavier apps. It’s not the most reliable option if you’re after smooth performance all the time. However, for light and minimal usage such as watching YouTube videos, scrolling through Facebook Reels, browsing the web, and checking social media, it gets the job done. This makes it more suitable as a secondary phone or for users who don’t demand too much from their device, like kids or casual users.

The HONOR X6c is priced at Php 6,099 for the 128GB model and Php 6,999 for the 256GB model.
