DSWD Teams Up with PayMaya for AICS Financial Aid Distribution

DSWD taps on PayMaya for a contactless financial aid distribution of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) to beneficiaries. Another step for systemizing cashless transactions!

The Department of Social Welfare and Development partners up with PayMaya again in delivering public service during the current times. The AICS program caters to qualified indigent, marginalized, poor, or disadvantaged individuals households for them to receive financial assistance as immediate aid or safety net.

In aims of minimizing risks in distribution, DSWD’s AICS program will be utilizing PayMaya. The partnership lets beneficiaries encash their cash aids via any of the 30,000 Smart Padala branches nationwide. Aside from this, they may also utilize their PayMaya accounts to directly pay utilities, groceries, bills, and other essentials.

Notably, DSWD has already teamed up with PayMaya as a featured payment method in the ReliefAgad app. At the same time, Social Amelioration Program (SAP) beneficiaries may also choose to use PayMaya for receiving their respective aids.

Just as DSWD remains committed into fully assisting unfortunate Filipinos, PayMaya aims to be of relevant and direct help as well. PayMaya has recently launched the Negosyo App which lets small businesses get in on the contactless transactions. Alongside these projects, PayMaya has also been working with the DOTR and LTFRB to aid the transportation sector in accessing the feature as well.
