What’s in the Box?

The realme C55 greets us with its signature minimalist yellow box with its model name printed on its top and the brand name on its sides. I was really excited to open the box and have it right in my hand. Inside the box, we will see the Realme C55 unit itself, a user manual, its SIM ejector pin, a 33W charger, its USB Type-A to Type-C cable, and a transparent silicone case.

From what I have seen from its brand category at this price range, the design of the realme C55 is quite impressive as it is stunning at first glance. Its dual-tone finish on its back panel makes it premium in addition to the glossy accent around its cameras. I loved how they built it with flat edges as I have struggled in having a maintained grip on objects and devices. I am a fan of this style indeed as it is giving me a much more comfortable hold on it.

The review unit that we got here is its Rainy Night color variant. It has a matte finish which makes it free of fingerprints and smudges. It also has its Rainforest and Sunshower color variant if you prefer bright colors on smartphones. Both would also fit your overall aesthetics even just perfect in matching your daily OOTDs.

Taking pictures has always been part of my daily routine at home and at work. Thus, having a good camera phone is one of my top standards in buying one. I enjoyed its camera experience as it comes with a 64-megapixel main rear camera with its 2-megapixels depth camera. It is a bit sad to see that they have not still included an ultrawide feature for their cameras but nevertheless, a 64-megapixel camera is better compared to its predecessors which only have 50 megapixels.

It also boasts a 6.7” FHD+ 90Hz Display, the largest display on a realme C-Series smartphone yet with an improved  FHD+ resolution. Scrolling and browsing won’t be a hassle to your eyes as it has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.4% and a 90Hz Refresh Rate.

Taking selfies won’t be a problem on its front camera having 8 megapixels located in its center.

On the right side of the realme C55’s flat edges is the volume rocker with the power button also functioning as its fingerprint scanner. On its upper left side is where the SIM card slot is located where you can place two nano sim cards in addition to its SD card slot.

On its bottom edge, you will find a 3.5mm audio port, microphone hole, USB Type C port, and speaker grill.

With the specs that it has, this for me, is an amazing catch as it is already equipped with MediaTek Helio G88 with realme UI 4.0, Android 13. For someone like me who installs a lot of apps on my phone that I use at work plus the mobile games that I play, having a large memory is a big deal-breaker for me. The realme C55 has exceeded my expectations in this matter as this review unit comes with 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. It also has 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage option. Take note that you can also expand your storage up to 1TB or 1000GB which you can also utilize from its dedicated micro-SD card slot.

Also, this realme C55 has a 5000mAh battery, with 33W fast charging.

Upon using the realme C55 for more than a week, I loved how they made it stunning and attractive in terms of style in addition to its comfortable grip and hype storage capacity. We will have an in-depth review of its performance in terms of camera and software features same as well as its very interesting mini capsule in our full review next week.
