ASUS Republic of Gamers is making this summer a lot hotter by introducing new gaming laptops that will be available very soon. Let me discuss them one by one, and the first new model I’d like to share with you guys is the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G GA502. Being a Zephyrus fan and user (in case you don’t know or forgotten, I’m a Zephyrus GX531 user ) this news obviously piqued my interest.
ROG wants to expand the successful Zephyrus line and decided not to limit it as a high-end gaming laptop. Last month, they released the Zephyrus S GX701 which is a slightly bigger version of their usual 15-inch notebook. The Zephyrus G GA502 is a different machine. While it still has a slim form-factor, it doesn’t have the Active-Aerodynamic System that opens and tilts the back of the notebook for more airflow.
The most interesting part I see here is the inclusion of the AMD Ryzen 7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti to power this machine. With this pairing, it is capable of triple-digits FPS on a 120Hz display. Users of the Zephyrus G GA502 will also benefit when it comes to battery life, a bane in all gaming laptops. It promises to deliver up to 7 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing, which is a lot longer than what my current Zephyrus S can do.
According to an ASUS ROG Representative, we shall see a new Zephyrus that costs under P100,000! That’s good news for those who want the latest Zephyrus line without having to rob a bank!
