The Samsung Galaxy A80 – A Phone with Sliding Rotating Cameras!

Honestly, I was just expecting another Galaxy A phone with better features to be announced today. Boy, I am so glad to be wrong right now! The newly announced Samsung Galaxy A80 is a message by the Korean smartphone giant that their innovation doesn’t only end up with their high-end phones.

We’ve seen Chinese brands like OPPO and Vivo come up with phones with pop-up cameras since last year. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy A80, not only does its cameras pop-up, it also rotates as well! Its dual cameras are composed of a whopping 48 Megapixels, 8 Megapixels with ultra wide angle lens and 3D depth that can be used for taking scenic photos or selfies! Either way, your photos will end up looking fantastic! Check our sample below:

The Super Steady video mode helps you effortlessly capture content by reducing video shake to ensure smooth, pro-level action videos. And with other intelligent camera features such as Scene Optimizer that can recognize and enhance up to 30 scenes, and Flaw Detection that automatically identifies glitches before you click, you’ll never miss the perfect shot.

Since Samsung is able to hide its cameras, the Galaxy A80 has a clean-looking Infinity Display without any notches or punched holes. It has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen that provides vivid details whether you watch videos or play mobile games. We are still unsure what kind of processor it uses but Samsung informed us that it is powered by an Octa-Core processor (we will update this as soon as we get information.)

The Samsung Galaxy A80’s 3,700mAh battery and its Super-Fast Charging at 25W capabilities keep you connected for longer and give you more freedom by allowing you to charge your phone quickly – so you don’t miss a beat. It also features an intelligent battery which learns your daily routine and app usage patterns to optimize your phone’s power consumption. The Adaptive Power Saving Mode enables users to be reassured knowing the smart battery is running most efficiently for the best performance needed.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 is available in two colors: Angel Gold and Phantom Black. The Gold color includes elements of pink so these colors look different depending on light direction and reflection.

Samsung has not yet released the pricing for the Galaxy A80. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we receive word from them.
