BYD Cars Philippines formally turned over eight electric vehicle (EV) patrol cars to the City Government of Muntinlupa, strengthening local police operations while advancing Mayor Ruffy Biazon’s green technology program for the city. The turnover reflects a growing partnership between BYD Cars Philippines and local government units across the country, as more municipalities look to electrify essential public services.
Eight Units of BYD Dolphin Assigned to Muntinlupa Police Station
All eight units of the Dolphin have been assigned directly to the Muntinlupa Police Station, where they will be used for Philippine National Police (PNP) operations in Muntinlupa City. The electric vehicles will be supporting daily law enforcement activities and road patrols. Beyond boosting police visibility in the community, the vehicles are expected to deliver significant operational savings compared to traditional internal combustion engine patrol cars, with lower maintenance requirements, zero fuel costs, and greater day-to-day availability for officers on the ground.

With electric patrol cars, our police force can stay on the road longer without worry and gives them a more reliable way to serve our community,” said Mayor Ruffy Biazon of the City Government of Muntinlupa.
