Flexibility Meets Performance: The Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen Review

The Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen is a premium convertible notebook for users who need productivity, flexibility and leisure. It was launched locally in August 2025 and now we have the opportunity to review this device.

I’m a fan of convertible notebooks for the past couple of decades since the Tablet PC days. I’ve always wished of having one but their prices were too steep at that time, not to mention they were heavier too. It’s a niche product but I’m glad companies like Lenovo still produce these types of convertibles for users who require to use them in various ways.

Read on to find out if we recommend it, or not.

The Unboxing

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen

As expected, gone are the days when laptops come in premium packaging. Several years ago, companies like Lenovo took a different turn to cut costs, reduce environmental impact, and align with global sustainability goals.

Inside the recyclable packaging are the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen review unit, charger, Lenovo Precision Pen 2, and User Manuals.

The Looks and Feel

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen

I admire Lenovo’s white-themed laptops more than any of their competitors. With the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen, I was immediately smitten by its Vegan leather -covered lid that adds style to a an already powerful laptop. The good thing about this material is it prevents the laptop to be a fingerprint magnet. However, with its almost white leather material, it can also attract dust and dirt.

Dimensions of the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen are 317mm x 228mm x 15.95mm and weighs around 1.49kg. I am already used to my current notebook’s less than a kg weight but carrying around the convertible wasn’t a chore for me whether I was just holding it or carrying it with my backpack.

The lid can be opened in any way you would like to use it. Around 90 degrees to use it as a laptop, 180 degrees, 270 degrees in what they call “Tent Mode” for viewing videos all the way up to 360 degrees in tablet mode. I am happy to report that the lid is very sturdy, no need to worry if the y will break in a few years.

The white keyboard is one of the major reminders why I have to review a Lenovo laptop. It was absolutely a joy to use and every key press makes me want to type even more. Keyboard travel is comfy and every key I press is responsive. If you are working under the dark, the keypads can be lit by pressing the Fn key and space bar.

There are a handful of ports in the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen. On the left side are the HDMI, Type-C USB and a 3.5mm audio jack, while the other side has a Type-A USB, another Type-C USB, a MicroSD Card slot and the power button.

The Display and Sound

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen

The display of the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen is a 14” WUXGA 1920×1200 pixels OLED Multi-Touch Display with 60Hz refresh rate and aspect ratio of 16:10. There are also IPS and a top-of-the-line 1800p variants but I am already pleased with the display of our review unit.

On top of the display is the camera notch, usually found in Lenovo laptops. The webcam can be manually shut for your privacy by moving the tiny slider. Bezels are thin on the top of the screen, then it becomes even thinner on the sides. The bottom bezels are on the thick side but it doesn’t bother me at all.

I love OLED’s display quality. Colors are vibrant, its resolution is sharp, and contrast was excellent. Like on the phones we usually review, the Yoga 7i 2-in-1’s OLED display produces true blacks. Whenever I work indoors, I can be already contented with 10% level of brightness.

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen

I mentioned earlier the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 has a touchscreen. One of this Yoga’s unique features is, aside from your fingers, you may use the included Lenovo Precision Pen 2 to navigate its touchscreen. Sketch, draw, mindmap, scan numerous documents, all of these can be done with the Yoga 2-in-1. We’ll discuss more on this in the next section.

The only caveat we experienced is its reflections. Its glossy display can be distracting sometimes and it gave us a hard time taking photos and videos of the convertible.

Speakers are found on the left and right sides of the keyboard. There are also two speakers found under the bottom edges of the laptop. Out of the box, the sounds were really great. It’s even greater than my own laptop. The Yoga 7i 2-in-1 comes with speakers tuned with Dolby-Atmos, providing an immersive audio experience compared to other standard laptop speakers.

The Performance

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen

Under the hood of our Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen review unit is an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V also known as the Lunar Lake series. Its GPU is an integrated Intel Arc Graphics 130V, while its NPU is an integrated Intel AI Boost up to 47 TOPS. With these specs, the Yoga 7 2-in-1 is a Copilot+ PC.

We did some benchmarks with our usual tools for tests. Here are their results:

Based on these results we gathered, we reckon these are pretty good scores for a mid-range laptop.

Of course, the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen is very much capable for any type of workload. As a work laptop, it can manage multiple tabs of Google Chrome with emails and MS Word open while listening music via Spotify on the side. For artists, they may use the Yoga in tablet form and create artwork from simple sketches to more complicated graphic-heavy illustrations. For stay-at-home moms, they can convert it to tent mode to watch videos for recipes or simply bring it out to their garden and watch their favorite TV series on Netflix. In my case, I did my research and writing most of the time occasionally converting to tablet mode to write my notes or sign documents. Throughout my review period, I didn’t encounter any quirks that disrupted my workflow.

The only AI app pre-installed with the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 is the Microsoft Copilot+. I use it extensively from simple inquiries to more intricate questions for my researches. The Lenovo AI Now app is not pre-installed on the laptop and when I tried to install it, it advised me our review unit is not compatible with the app.

For pen input performance, the Lenovo Precision Pen 2 gets the job done. I like its smoothness and responsiveness whenever I write notes. The Yoga 7i 2-in-1 supports palm rejection which lets users rest their palms while writing or drawing on the screen. I am pretty sure Tablet PC users would appreciate this feature.

The Lenovo Precision Pen 2 is rechargeable via USB and can be used for weeks on a single charge.

The Battery Life

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen

The Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen is equipped with a 70 Wh battery capacity. It claims it can reach up to almost a whole day on a single charge. My usage only consists of researching by browsing websites or playing YouTube videos, typing articles, sign digital documents most of the day. I would turn on Netflix if I feel like watching streaming videos on the Yoga 2-in-1 until I decide to watch on a bigger TV. I worked 10 hours at most with a decent amount of battery juice left. My display brightness was adjusted between 10%-40%.

Please note that my experience may differ with other users especially with their type of usage and screen brightness.

It supports Rapid Charging Express, which when charged for at least 15 minutes, can provide the convertible up to 3 hours of battery life.

DR’s Conclusion

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen

I think the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen can be used by anybody, even if they’re not the type of users who would use the pen to draw or write notes. Users will still enjoy using the tent mode for watching videos or on tablet mode while riding a vehicle. It can be used for any type of work. The bottomline is its versatility can adapt to anyone who would like to use this convertible in different ways for different situations.

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen

With the addition of Lenovo Premium Care, Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 10th Gen users not only will enjoy 3 years of coverage, but will also have access to Lenovo’s Comprehensive Coverage, Annual PC Health Check, 24/7 Technical Support and On-Site Repair Service. I don’t think any laptop brand can beat that!

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 10th Gen

Personally, I am inclined to get one for myself, since I always use my tablet for signing documents. We’ll see if I will get one later this year or wait for its next newer version.
