There has been a constant trend in prettifying a desktop builds that I’ve seen the past few years. Let’s check: case fans, CPU Fans/AIOs, GPUs, motherboards and most recently power supplies got the RGB treatment. Aesthetic upgrades to other parts of desktop builds I’ve seen include: adding RGB light strips on desktop cases; and colored cabling for power supplies. The cables are now the focus of RGB-fication (or if there’s a term for it). Enter LIAN LI, a company known for their aluminum PC cases, introduces the STRIMER PLUS RGB Extension Cable.
The STRIMER PLUS RGB Extension cable comes in two variants. One is for the 24-pin cable that we connect to the motherboard, while the other is an 8-pin cable. The 24-pin power cable extensions have to 120 LEDs (8-pins have 108 LEDs, and will allow complex lighting effects on our machine. LIAN LI also mentioned that installation process for the cables should be a breeze.
The STRIMER PLUS has 7 colors that can be set, and 18 light modes; all managed by a controller. This controller comes with the 24-pin variant, we can connect the 24-pin and 8-pin cable to have synchronized lighting effects on our machines. All in all, there is a total of 84 individual lighting effects that can be made through this product.
