HONOR takes great pride in the newest addition to its renowned HONOR X series, as they officially introduce the HONOR X6a to the Philippines, delivering competitive specifications at an incredibly affordable price point. Having the privilege of having this review unit in my possession, allow me to share my initial impressions.

What’s in the Box?
The HONOR X6a comes in a simple minimalistic white box, with its distinctive brand name on its front and sides. Upon opening the box, you’ll find the HONOR X6a device itself. In addition to the documentation, there’s a handy SIM ejector pin for user convenience. Furthermore, the box includes a charging adapter, a USB Type-A to Type-C cable, and a transparent silicone case.
Our First Impressions
The Honor X6a showcases an elegant and high-end design that is certain to capture attention. Its slender profile and lightweight construction contribute to effortless handling and portability, ensuring a comfortable user encounter. With a thickness of only 8.4mm and a weight of just 188g, the device is well-suited for one-handed use, providing convenience to the user.
The device is highly portable and user-friendly, making it an ideal companion for daily use. Whether you admire its sleek design or its robustness, the Honor X6a is bound to leave a lasting impression with its overall design and construction quality.
Moreover, there’s another color option with a matching finish, showcased in Midnight Black, whereas the one I currently have is the charming Sky Silver variant. Personally, I find the Sky Silver version attractive with its shiny gradient aesthetics. Furthermore, the phone provides an exceptional in-hand experience, delivering a gratifying and comfortable grip that truly enhances the joy of holding this device.
The Honor X6a sports a 6.56-inch LCD display, boasting a resolution of 1,612 x 720 pixels. While it may not offer the highest resolution on the market, it delivers a respectable viewing experience, Notably, the display comes with a 90 Hz refresh rate which is a noteworthy feature.
When it comes to color accuracy and vibrancy, the Honor X6a provides satisfactory results. The colors are vivid, and the overall color reproduction is decent as it has a comprehensive 50MP (f/1.8) main camera,, 2MP (f/2.4) depth camera, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera.

Furthermore, the X6a is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 octa-core processor and is available in 4 GB provides ample internal storage with 128 GB capacity, and offers the convenience of a dedicated microSD slot for expandable storage.
Some additional noteworthy features of the phone encompass a 3.5mm audio jack, a fingerprint sensor, support for dual-SIM functionality, and facial recognition. The Honor X6a comes preloaded with MagicOS 7.1, which is built upon the Android 13 platform.
The HONOR X6a boasts a 5,200mAh battery that supports up to 22.5W charging speed, which the brand claims to give you a lasting 2-day battery life. This means that you can conveniently not worry about recharging your device every now and then, especially when you’re pressed for time due to work or errands.
During my initial days of hands-on experience with the HONOR X6a, it offered seamless functionality right from the beginning. With a set of good cameras that collaboratively delivered impressive results across different shooting scenarios within its smartphone category, the Honor X6a provided an excellent starting point for me to delve deeper into its key features for our comprehensive review.
