What’s in the Box?
The HONOR X7b is packaged in a simple and minimalistic white box, featuring its distinctive brand name on the front and sides. Upon unboxing, the HONOR X6a device is prominently presented. Alongside the documentation, users will find a convenient SIM ejector pin for easy access. Additionally, the box includes a charging adapter, a USB Type-A to Type-C cable, and a transparent silicone case to enhance user convenience.
Our First Impressions
Acquiring the Flowing Silver unit provided us with the opportunity to thoroughly examine the specifications of the HONOR X7b. In terms of design, this smartphone showcases a sleek, clean, and simple aesthetic. Notably, the colors on the back panel stand out, displaying a vibrant and eye-catching hue that radiates a delightful glow when exposed to direct sunlight. The addition of a metallic side panel further contributes to the overall visual appeal of the device.
A notable design feature includes the presence of two rear camera humps, serving as a distinctive element for the phone. These camera islands house a dual 108MP primary camera, a feature we will explore in greater detail later in this review. Positioned on the right side of the panel are the power and volume buttons, enhancing the phone’s ergonomic design.
Moreover, it also comes in its other color variant, the Cyan Lake, and Midnight Black. This design not only ensures a comfortable grip but also delivers an immersive viewing experience, as the content extends beyond the edges of the display. Infusing a touch of youthful vibrancy, the device is offered in three captivating color options.
The HONOR X7b brings several upgrades, featuring a larger 6.8-inch Full HD+ 90Hz display with a punch-hole housing the 8-megapixel selfie camera. Notably, it boasts a 108-megapixel main camera with 2x digital zoom and runs on Magic OS 7.2 based on Android 13. In the Philippines, the available variant will be the 8GB/256GB model, representing another enhancement compared to the previous X7 models released in the country.
Turning our attention to the camera capabilities, the HONOR X7b features a primary 108MP Ultra-Clear main camera paired with an 8MP snapper. In well-lit conditions, the primary camera performs admirably, capturing clear and vibrant images. Although the front camera may occasionally exhibit an artificial appearance, it does not significantly detract from the overall photography experience.
