The Design

vivo V60 5G Review

The vivo V60 5G we have is in Summer Blue, featuring a tranquil blue hue that shifts to soft pink under sunlight. It’s also available in Mist Gray and Berry Purple.

The phone’s design is clean and minimalist, which I personally like. The camera bump is subtle, and the device is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance, making it reliable for everyday use.

On the right side, you’ll find the volume rocker and power button. The bottom houses the speaker grille, microphone, USB Type-C port, and SIM tray for dual nano-SIM cards. Up top, there’s another microphone and speaker opening.

The Display and Speaker

vivo V60 5G

The vivo V60 5G sports a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2392×1080 resolution. You can choose between Smart Switch mode, which automatically toggles between 60Hz and 120Hz based on your activity, or lock it to either 60Hz or 120Hz.

In daily use, the display looks sharp and fluid, perfect for scrolling through social media, watching videos, or gaming. Outdoor visibility is excellent too, thanks to its bright and vibrant screen.

Audio-wise, it features dual stereo speakers that deliver clear and sufficiently loud sound, enhancing your viewing and gaming experience.

The Performance

vivo V60 5G

Under the hood, the vivo V60 5G runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Other variants include 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. However, it still uses UFS 2.2 storage, which is slower than the newer UFS 3.0 or 4.0 standards.

Here are the benchmark results we got with the vivo V60 5G:

When you first boot the device, it runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. vivo has also announced a transition to Origin OS, previously exclusive to China, which will roll out globally soon. We’ll cover that update once it becomes available for the vivo V60 5G.

While Funtouch OS 15 comes with pre-installed bloatware, most of it can be uninstalled. Overall, the system feels smooth and responsive, with no noticeable slowdowns.

In real-world performance, the phone handles multitasking, browsing, and video streaming with ease. For gaming, it performs well in casual titles and even manages Genshin Impact at low to medium settings without major frame drops.

vivo highlights its Ultra Large VC Smart Cooling System, which keeps temperatures in check during heavy use. In our stress test, the chipset peaked at 45°C, maintaining a 71.8% stability score in the 3DMark Wild Life Stress Test.

The Camera

vivo V60 5G

Photography has always been one of vivo’s strongest areas, and the V60 5G continues that tradition. It comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. On the front, it has a 50-megapixel selfie camera. All cameras feature ZEISS image processing for color tuning, tone mapping, and other enhancements.

vivo V60 5G – Main Camera Sample

Photos taken with the main camera look sharp, vibrant, and detailed. The ZEISS color calibration produces natural, balanced tones that avoid the overprocessed look found in some competitors.

Low-light shots also hold up well, preserving details and colors. In very dark conditions, the Aura Light feature provides even illumination, making portrait shots stand out beautifully.

vivo V60 5G – Telephoto Camera Sample

The telephoto lens offers up to 3x optical zoom, great for capturing distant subjects. During a recent BABYMETAL concert, we were able to snap clear, well-balanced shots despite challenging lighting. HDR and detail retention were impressive for its class.

vivo V60 5G – Ultrawide Camera Sample

The ultrawide camera shows a slight drop in image quality compared to the main sensor, but overall processing keeps it usable for casual shots.

vivo V60 5G – Selfie Camera Sample

Selfies are also excellent, with realistic skin tones, sharp details, and accurate subject-background separation.

For video, the V60 5G supports 4K@30fps on both the main and selfie cameras. Dropping to 1080p enables recording at 60fps. However, the ultrawide lens is limited to 1080p@30fps video.

The Battery

The vivo V60 5G packs a large 6500mAh battery that can easily last a full day of heavy use or up to two days with light to moderate usage. When it’s time to recharge, the included 90W fast charger can power the phone from 0% to 100% in under an hour, which is impressive for its class.
