MSI revealed the MAG Coreliquid AIO cooling solution during the 2020 CES event in Nevada last January. To refresh everyone’s memory, I’ll be posting the specs of the two models available. Along with these specs is an ongoing promo by MSI for AMD/Intel. The promo includes the Coreliquid AIO when purchasing it along with chassis, motherboards and processors for either AMD or Intel.

Before proceeding with the MAG Coreliquid brief, a quick promo. MSI, in partnership with both AMD and Intel, have launch a promotion to bundle these new motherboards with corresponding processors will have a corresponding Steam Wallet load. What’s more, if buyers bundle in one of the two MSI MAG Coreliquid AIO cooler as well as a MSI chassis; we stand earn more Steam Wallet loads. A maximum of $105 worth of Steam Wallet load will be given if a buyer gets a complete bundle of motherboard, processor, AIO and chassis. For the complete breakdown of combinations that are valid and their corresponding Steam Wallet amount, click here for the AMD terms, and here for Intel terms. The steps for redeeming for AMD is this link; while for Intel it is this link.

MAG Coreliquid 240R and 360R

The MAG Coreliquid is MSI’s all-in-one cooling solution designed to work in conjunction with MSI motherboards in order to have a way to have a cooler that matches MSI branding while able to provide ample cooling performance for gaming or doing processor intensive work. To compare the two models; the Coreliquid 240R is 240mm (2x 120mm fans) long, while the 360R is 360mm (3x 120mm fans).
Common Features:

- Rotatable Blockhead – the cold plate can be mounted in any direction to the board and we can adjust the block to its proper orientation, making the MSI dragon logo look proper inside.

- Integrated Radiator Pump Design – The pump is integrated into the radiator and is designed to have reduced vibration and noise. It has a durable three phase motor with ceramic bearing. And is assured to have a long operating life of up to 100,000 hours.

- Evaporation Proof Tubing – To avoid the coolant from dissipating/drying out, the tubing is built with three layers of netted plastic tubing and a reinforced mesh exterior.

- High Thermal Dissipation – With the water pump installed into the radiator, a split liquid pathway is used. Hot coolant is cooled by splitting its pathway inside the radiator before being pulled by the pump as it is cooled and back out to the block.

- Durable Ball Bearing Fans – Using fans with dual ball bearings, the lifespan have an estimated 70,000 hours operating time.
- Total Fan Control – The fans are PWM models and can be attached to compatible motherboard to run custom fan speeds.
- More Silence than Expected – The MAG Coreliquid performs quieter than competing brands at 42 dB versus 47 dB, roughly 10%.

- Extensive Compatibility – The MAG Coreliquid is compatible with numerous AMD and Intel motherboards with different socket types. An exception for AMD’s TR-4 socket, which is compatible only with Coreliquid 360R.
