A few years ago, I retired my old multi-port chargers and just use either my laptop’s Type-C USB charger or my reliable two-port Type-C USB charger I received during the pandemic. Then in 2024, I discovered UGREEN, a brand used by my colleagues in the Technology Media space. I bought a 65W GaN charger along with two UGREEN 100W Type-C USB cables. It was a big upgrade because it was able to charge my phones quickly.
Recently, UGREEN approached me to review their UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 5-Port GaN Fast Charger. I have never used or experienced this kind of charger before, but the looks of it, I know this is the best charger for my needs. Here’s my review.

The Unboxing
The packaging is quite simple and easy to understand what the UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 5-Port GaN Fast Charger is offering.

The Built and Design
The UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 5-port GaN charger feels heavy and solid unlike the chargers I’ve used before that were lightweight since they were made obviously made of plastic. Its dimensions are 76 x 76 x 32 mm, slightly larger than a 60W Magsafe 2 charger and weighs 319.6 grams. I think this is the one of the heaviest chargers I’ve used but at least it’s not as big as the charger bricks found in some laptops.
Based on other similar products by UGREEN, I reckon that the UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 5-port GaN charger is also made of high-quality, heat-resistant, fire-retardant polycarbonate. The case is designed for thermal management which is really needed for a 100W charger.
Lotsa ports are found in the UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 5-port GaN fast charger. There are two sections for these ports. The first three Type-C USB ports are capable to charge up to 100W, while the second section’s Type-C port can charge up to 20W and the Type-A port up to 22.5W.
I’ve never had a charger with an animated display so I was quite delighted when I saw that this UGREEN charger has one. Its Smart TFT Display shows charging information, active ports for charging, individual port power and total output. Very helpful, I must say. Ten years ago I also brought a multi-port charger with me but I had no idea how much power its charging my phones and other devices.
The button on the display lets you see different information of the charging status. It also lets you change the screen orientation for a better view from where you are seated.
Is there a problem with the charger? maybe it’s the cable? or possibly the device? The UGREEN’s Smart TFT Display can also help you troubleshoot if your device isn’t charging properly.
The Performance
I charged several devices using the UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 5-Port GaN Fast Charger. First I charged my HONOR 600 smartphone and it went on Super Charge mode as high as 57W.
Next, I plugged in the Xiaomi Pad 8 tablet and also went on Super Charge mode at 13W. Lastly, I charged my ASUS Zenbook A14 and it registered around 64W. I was so relieved that the laptop’s battery meter didn’t show “Slow Charging”, meaning the UGREEN 100W charger is the right one to use.
This time, I charged a smartphone, tablet, laptop and a digital camera all at once. The UGREEN charger accommodated all of them, though, slower because it has to allocate power to all devices. My laptop indicated that it was connected to a slow charger, which is understandable. The Smart TFT Display shows how much wattage were allocated to each device as well as their total wattage. Despite of the sharing the power with 4 devices, the charger was able to fully charge my camera and smartphone, tablet from 0 to 29% and laptop from 45 to 90% in a span of an hour.
Now y’all must be asking how was this all possible? Well, the UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 5-Port GaN Fast Charger has a Smart Charge Technology, which automatically detects connected devices and dynamically allocates power for the best performance. It prevents overloads and ensures stable, efficient charging across multiple ports.
With regards to heat, I’ve never experienced the UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 5-Port GaN fast charger to be too hot after charging multiple devices simultaneously. Thanks to GaNInfinity it also provide better heat control aside from higher power conversion efficiency.
DR’s CONCLUSION
The UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 5-Port GaN Fast Charger is absolutely a must-have whether for home/office use or part of your travel gear. The three fast charger ports is a godsend which I can use to charge my phone, tablet and laptop all at the same time. I intend to bring this charger for my Cebu trip this weekend and my #COMPUTEX2026 coverage on the first week of June.
